Hat Making Worshops:

Currently there are no classes scheduled, but if you have ever wanted to learn the Art of Millinery, covering is the perfect class to start you on your way to becoming a millinery designer. In this workshop you will learn to properly cover three buckram frames with fabric.

The frames will consist of several basic shapes, one pill box, one round crown, and one two piece crown and brim buckram frame. Students will learn what their correct headsize is, as well as how to measure themsleves and others for proper fit.

They will learn to choose and create perfect syles for themselves as well as  future customers. Students will also learn millinery terms, how to choose the best fabrics for covering and different methods for lining hats.

They will also be taught to trim(decorate)hats with flowers, jewels, and other decorative items for completion. At the end of the workshop students should have three completed hats that can be worn or sold for profit.

Covered hats are worn year round & decorated) in many ways ( hat made in advanced covering class).

We know it's not always possible to get away when you want to, so we will come to you. If there are ten (15)  paid registrants in the class you wish to be a part of we will bring a hatmaking weekend workshop to your location. If you are part of a non profit organization we will give back ten percent (10%) to that organization.

Those of you involved in women's groups may want to consider having a fund raiser by inviting members or other organizations to a Saturday or Sunday afternoon trunk show or weekend hatmaking workshop.

We will supply wearable art designs for sale for your trunk show. If your organization chooses to sponsor a workshop we will bring the workshop to you.

Fifteen percent of  those sales from the trunk show will be given back to that non profit organization at the the end of the show, and 10% of the registration fees will be given back to your non profit organization.

This is a wonderful way to give to the charity or non profit organization of your choice.  Plus you'll be the talk of the town because the one of a kind items showcased will be items no one else has.

We know you'll leave with something, because all items will sold at prices that won't allow you to leave them behind. The first step is to check your calendar then call or e-mail us about our availability. For more information.
